GreEnCat Lab. looks to alleviate environmental pollution and global climate change through air quality control, which is key to contributing towards a clean energy revolution.

 

The main reason for air pollution is the emission of pollutants coming from the carbon-based industry and diesel/gasoline transportation.

 

To remove exhaust gas, catalytic converters with select catalyst materials have been extensively used in emission control technology applications in both light- and heavy-duty vehicles.

 

For example, three-way catalysts, oxidation catalysts, diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs), Nox adsorbers (Nox traps), selective catalytic reduction (SCR), lean De-NOx catalysts, NH3 slip after treatment are all in our domain to reduce the amount of particulate matter (PM), CO, NOx, unburnt hydrocarbons and the unreacted NH3 by-product.

 

We also deal with CDPFs (catalyzed diesel particulate filters) for the removal of different PM sizes by modifying the morphology of the catalyst materials.
