Materials Dimension Control

GreEnCat Lab. looks to control the dimension of materials by modifying their morphology and tuning their physiochemical and chemical properties, gaining inspiration from various field of materials science.

Binary and multicomponent materials are typically prepared in the form of bulk, crystals, films, nanocrystals, nanoparticles, nanowires, nanofibers, nanotubes, nano-inclusions, heterostructures, core-shell and multi-shaped structures.

These different materials dimension can be tuned through a variation of factors, such as material composition, precursor type, temperature, pressure, and type of synthesis method.

Our goal is to control the structure-property of multifunctional materials and understand their physicochemical properties by their controlling shape, size, strain, defects, and orientation, in order to spur the development of new and advanced catalyst materials.
